As an Agricultural Engineer, you will be part of the Horticulture and Landscaping Department, which is responsible for the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of the city’s parks, gardens, roundabouts, streetscapes and other green areas. You will work under the supervision of the Senior Agricultural Engineer and coordinate with other engineers, technicians and workers in your team. You will also liaise with other departments, contractors and suppliers as needed.

• Have at least two years of relevant work experience in the field of horticulture and landscaping

Job Responsibility

As an Agricultural Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Identifying suitable places for planting the required types and quantities of flowers, taking into account the site conditions, design specifications and budget constraints
• Planting the flowers according to the approved designs and monitoring their growth, health and appearance
• Distributing the plants and agricultural maintenance requirements of organic and chemical fertilizers, ensuring the optimal balance of nutrients, water and soil pH
• Implementing approved agricultural maintenance programs in accordance with the conditions, standards and specifications, such as pruning, weeding, pest control, irrigation, etc.
• Ensuring the efficiency of operation of the equipment, mechanisms and tools used in the work, such as tractors, mowers, sprayers, etc.
• Recording traffic accidents affecting cultivated areas and recording damage, taking necessary actions to restore the affected areas as soon as possible
• Preparing reports and documentation on the progress and status of the projects and activities
• Conducting regular inspections and audits of the sites and ensuring compliance with the quality and safety standards
• Providing technical advice and guidance to the junior staff and workers
• Participating in training and development programs and staying updated with the latest trends and innovations in the field of agricultural engineering
